  4. A quick and easy way to have it running (must be done as root):

  6. #export USERSHARES_DIR="/var/lib/samba/usershares"
  7. #export USERSHARES_GROUP="sambashare"
  8. #mkdir ${USERSHARES_DIR}
  9. #groupadd ${USERSHARES_GROUP}
  10. #chown root:${USERSHARES_GROUP} ${USERSHARES_DIR}
  11. #chmod 01770 ${USERSHARES_DIR}
  12. #mv /etc/samba/smb.conf{,.bak}
  13. #cp /usr/share/doc/nautilus-share/examples/smb.conf /etc/samba/
  14. #/etc/init.d/samba restart

  16. You must add users who can share folder in the usershare group, in this example the group is "sambashare":

  18. #usermod -a -G sambashare your_username
